ON-GRID SOLAR ROOFTOP SYSTEMS
On-Grid Systems are solar pv systems that only generate power when the utility power grid is available. They must connect to the grid to function. They can send excess power generated back to the grid when you are overproducing so you credit it for later use.
ON-GRID SOLAR ROOFTOP SYSTEMS ARE CLEAN AND SIMPLE
1.Grid connected systems or on-grid systems, is hugely popular in India as its low cost, the ability to earn money through feed-in tariffs and option to sell electricity back into the electricity companies. In Grid connected system, your home runs on solar power. These systems give priority to the solar power generated and only if the generated power is less than that required, will the grid power be used.
2.The benefit of grid connected solar installations is that they produce electricity that offsets your electricity demand load from the grid, turning your meter back and ensure that more of your electricity is produced in an environmentally efficient way.
SOLAR SOLUTION ON-GRID ENERGY SYSTEM
Solar Panel: The heart of a solar connected system is the solar panel itself. Photovoltaic solar panels mounted on your roof or on a ground mounted frame, generates DC (Direct Current ) electricity from the sun. The more powerful the sun’s energy, the more power you get, although solar panels continue to generate small amounts of electricity during low light.
Inverter: Inverter which convert the DC electricity to AC (Alternating Current) as used in your home.
Net Meter: A Bi-directional meter is installed in place of your existing meter, to measure the energy you feed in and take from the grid.
Solar Solutions Grid-Tie Energy Systems (like the example above) provide your home or cottage with AC power and produces energy that offsets your energy demand load from the grid, turning your meter back.
Benefits of On- Grid solar system: These are simplest systems and the most cost effective to install. These systems will pay for themselves by offsetting utility bills in few years.
Downside of On-Grid solar system: These do not provide power during a grid outage.
Summery of On-Grid solar system: They are cost effective enough to pay for themselves and put money in your pocket long term. If you want to reduce your electric bill and your carbon footprint this is a good choice.
